The Poetry Club at Wayne Street Live is a biweekly creative community for poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, writers, and vocalists. Each session blends writing time, guided feedback, and performance coaching to help members sharpen their craft, build confidence on the mic, and develop stage-ready pieces. Members also get opportunities to perform at in-studio open mics and showcases.

  • Spoken word artists & poets

  • Storytellers (true stories, monologues, spoken essays)

  • Writers building sets for stage or content

  • Vocalists developing original material and performance confidence

  • Creatives looking for community, accountability, and growth

What To Expect

  • Craft mini-lesson (writing + performance tools)

  • Writing sprint prompts

  • Share circle (read/sing 2–3 minutes)

  • Guided feedback (respectful + actionable)

  • Performance reps (mic technique, breath, timing)

 Biweekly 90min sessions are held in Studio C. Quarterly open mics and public showcases take place in Studio A.
